Lough Boora Bike Rental is a bike rental service based in Bord na Mona’s Lough Boora Discovery Park. We are a fully insured company offering a range of bikes to rent for individuals, couples, friend groups, and families of all sizes.
Staffed by a team of bicycle fanatics, Lough Boora Bike Rental provides standard mountain and touring bikes as well as tandem bikes, e-bikes, kids’ bikes, bike trailers, kids’ bike carriages, and more to hire. All of our equipment is less than a year old and is serviced regularly to ensure quality and reliability.
With easy online or in-person rental, we offer flexible rental times and bikes to suit every cyclist from total beginners to experienced bike lovers. Whether you’re off on a family picnic around the park or just want to explore the park’s natural beauty with friends, the best way to do it is on a bike from Lough Boora Bike Rental.

How it Works
1. Book In-Person or Online
The easiest way to organise bike hire from Lough Boora Bike Rental is by booking online here. Please hyperlink booking page on the word “here”. Alternatively, visit us in person to book a slot. We offer individual bike hire as well as family packages, with adult bikes, kids’ bikes, and carriages available to ensure that no one is left out.
2. Fill in Rental Form & ID
After booking, we will ask you to fill out a bicycle rental form and leave some form of identification with our team, to be picked up when you return your bike. This is just a safety measure and acts as a deposit to ensure that you understand the safety requirements and T&Cs of our bike hire services.
3. Pick Your Bike & Go!
3. After meeting with our team and going through how our services work, the next step is to pick your perfect bike (or bikes) and go! We offer helpful advice and recommendations on bike routes, things to see, and what to do when exploring Lough Boora to ensure you don’t miss anything.
